A low-maintenance and fast-growing caudex plant native to South and East Africa, known for its unique and striking blooms.
DESCRIPTION
Dorstenia hildebrandtii is a fascinating caudex plant originating from southern and eastern Africa. Over time, its green stem transforms into a woody structure, resembling a miniature bonsai tree.
The plant produces an abundance of unusual "flowers," which are actually pseudo-flowers (pseudanthia). These consist of numerous tiny flowers merged into a single, distinctive inflorescence. In Dorstenia, this structure is often referred to as a "flower cake" due to its intriguing shape.
